Youth Ministry Leaders Planning Day
On Monday, 18th February, the Year 11 Youth Ministry Leadership team participated in the Catholic Leadership Project Day for 2025. Below is Lachlan Chadwick’s experience of the day.
This experience allowed us to explore the significance of our roles in shaping the future of Youth Ministry at Magdalene Catholic College. Through discussions and collaborative brainstorming with students from Mount Carmel, St Francis and John Terry, we deepened our understanding of core values such as faith, service, and community engagement.
The day provided valuable insights into how we, as Youth Ministry Leaders, can foster a culture of spiritual engagement and leadership among students. We explored opportunities to enhance participation in liturgical events, promote consistent prayer, and encourage faith in action through initiatives that align with the College’s mission. By reviewing past student engagement and evaluating strategies for improvement, we reflected on how we can create a more inclusive and meaningful faith experience for our peers.
This experience reinforced the importance of community driven leadership and personal growth in shaping the spiritual life of Magdalene. Moving forward, we aim to implement creative and engaging approaches to Youth Ministry, ensuring that students feel encouraged to explore their faith and contribute to the ongoing development of Magdalene’s values and initiatives.
