YOU SHOULD BE A COP INITIATIVE
Earlier this term two students from Magdalene were successful in being chosen to attend the “You Should Be A Cop” initiative run by NSW Police. This event gave students hands on experience and offered them a great opportunity to see what it would be like to be part of the NSW Police force.
The "You should be a cop Program" was a valuable and insightful experience into the life of police officers in NSW. The four-day program was busy, alongside senior students from other schools. We participated in a range of activities revolving around the day-to-day life of a police officer. These included mock scenarios, talking on the radio, completing arrests, and participating in the police fitness tests. Overall, the program was really enjoyable, and solidified my intentions to hopefully join the police after school." Jake Murray
UWS CAMPUS VISIT
Earlier in the term, approximately 65 Year 10 students visited Western Sydney University’s Campbelltown Campus. The campus tour allowed the students an insight into the various teaching spaces available at the University. Students were also given an overview of the various courses offered by Western.
