On Friday March 13, students in the Year 10 Elective Music class, attended a concert by the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra at City Recital Hall, Sydney. The program for the evening was titled ‘Vivaldi’s Venice’ and featured passionate and sought-after French harpist Xavier de Maistre. The concert featured technically demanding and expressive performances of Baroque repertoire from Vivaldi to Marcello. The students were inspired by the performances and repertoire presented, which complimented the current unit of Baroque Music being studied in class.
