PERFORMING ARTS NEWS…..MAGDALENE SHINES 2021

After the Creative and Performing Arts were dramatically affected by COVID-19 in 2020, we were unable to hold any of our Performing Arts events.

As of Term One, 2021 when restrictions were finally lifted for singing, music, theatre and dance, we were able to quickly reorganise our Performing Arts schedule for 2021.

Magdalene Shines will be going ahead this term!

We have had to adjust how this event has been previously presented due to a short turn around with rehearsals and in trying to secure a date from Mount Carmel Catholic College. The evening will be showcasing some of our elective Music students from Years 9-12, a handful of Year 8 Music students and some dance items from our MISA Dance team.

We are also excited to announce that the Year 12 event will go ahead this year at the conclusion of the evening.

It is unfortunate that we were unable to open up the event to all students but we know that due to the circumstances in the past 12-18 months, the Magdalene community will be understanding and supportive of the students and staff involved.

Tickets will be on sale during lunchtime outside the LRC from next Monday 24th May.

You will be able to purchase your tickets via eftpos or cash.

It is on advice from NSW Health that all patrons purchase tickets prior to the event and be prepared to scan into the event on the evening of the performance.

We look forward to seeing members of the Magdalene College Community supporting the Music and Dance performers and Year 12 2021.
