This week, we officially launch our Vinnies Christmas Appeal at Magdalene. Students will engage in the appeal through Religion classes in Years 7 to 10 and PC classes in Year 11 over the next three weeks.

Donations are sought for the Nagle Centre and will be sorted into the following categories: 

 

Non-perishable foods in date and undamaged 

• Spaghetti/Baked Beans
• Tuna/salmon/Meat 
• Meals/Soups/Pasta sauce
• Pasta/Rice/Noodles
• Meal bases
• Fruit (peaches, apples, pears etc)
• Long life milks & creams
• Cereal & milk (single serves)
• Custard powder/Instant pudding
• Gravy mixes/Stock powders
• Sauces (tomato/bbq/soy/ fish/oyster/sweet chilli/ Worcestershire)
• Tomato/BBQ single serve
• Vegemite/Jam/honey
• Cordial/Long-life juice
• Single serve snacks (tuna & crackers, fruit cups, muesli bars etc)
• Single serve crisps (potato chips etc)

Cleaning and other supplies

• Dish detergent
• Liquid hand soap
• Napisan
• Chux cloths & scourers
• Spray cleaner/toilet cleaner/air freshener

Toiletries and personal care items

• Travel shave cream & razors
• Roll on deodorant
• Sanitary products
• Nappies/pull-ups (larger sizes) 
• Baby wipes
• men’s and women’s underwear (various sizes)

Christmas items

• Toiletry gift packs (Lynx, Brut, Rexona, etc)
• Special hamper items e.g. – chocolates, pretzels, chips, fancy biscuits etc
• Woollies/Coles $10.00 gift cards

Donations will be collected at the College between now and Wednesday 8th December (Week 10)

Donations can be dropped off in the boxes at the Foyer of the LRC or inside the RE Storeroom. Students will take donations to their RELIGION Classes (Years 7 -10) and PC Classes for Year 11 only (separate details and lesson resources have been emailed to RE Teachers and Year 11 PC Teachers). 

Note strict COVID protocols are in place for collection of donations - for students this should only occur through their RE Class or Year 11 PC Class - students cannot mix with each other at the donation boxes.
