Year 9 'Smashed' Incursion
On May 3rd, Year 9 was given the opportunity to participate in the alcohol education incursion, ‘Smashed’. The incursion took the form of an informative but rather comedic performance that highlighted the negative consequences of drinking underage in a way that people our age could understand and relate to. During the performance, audience participation through pop-quiz style questions gave us the chance to test what we knew about the topic and in return our knowledge was advanced through real facts and statistics. In the end I and many people in my grade can agree that the presentation given to us was highly informative and gave us a chance to think about what we really knew about alcohol… with a couple of laughs along the way.
